About the SSO

The SSO holds itself  to be a contributor to the cultural life, artistic growth and community pride of Scottsdale and is committed to continuing education, service and entertainment of its community, patrons and peoples that make up the City of  Scottsdale and its surrounding suburbs. The Scottsdale Symphony is dedicated to the  highest professional standards tempered by time, reality, finances and a recognition of the need for growth in the human person.

We support a full symphony orchestra of sixty members, have received professional accreditation from the National Endowment for the Arts, and are a fully accredited member of the American Symphony Orchestra League, and the Arizona Orchestra Association.

Now in our 33rd Season, we maintain a flexible musical format, i.e., symphony, "pops", opera and musicals, and strive to keep ticket prices reasonable so that everyone can enjoy symphony music. The SSO depends on corporate gifts to help keep the ticket prices down, and on sponsors to support free "pops" concerts each  year.
